Luxor in Las Vegas to Transform Former Nightclub into Esports Arena

Into the never-ending quest to attract a younger audience to casinos, MGM Resorts has announced that a nightclub that is former the Luxor in vegas will reopen as an esports arena.

The Luxor is remodeling its nightclub that is now-defunct LAX an esports arena. The goal is to pull in a younger demographic, not as enchanted by traditional slot machines as their parents.

The company has entered into a cope with Allied Esports and Esports Arena to develop a dedicated venue for gamers at the now closed LAX nightclub. The 30,000-square-foot space will have a multi-level arena detailed with competition stage, LED video wall, telescopic seating, day-to-day gaming stations, a personalized food and drink offering, and a state-of-the-art streaming and television-quality manufacturing studio.

Niklas Rytterstrom, general supervisor of Luxor, thinks that esports may be the future and will be one of the more popular features at the Strip resort, once it is completed in June 2018.
